Mayfield Mules offers guided trail rides year round in scenic Shawnee National Forest on our safe, gorgeous equines. Rides are $50 per person for 1-2 hours (around 54-acre Mayfield Mule Farm) and to Camp Cadiz. Rides 2-4 hours long are $75 (Rice Hollow and Whiskey Cave or from Mayfield Farms to High Knob or Double M), and the all day rides (which are usually around 6 hours) are $125 and include lunch. You will have the option ride from the farm to Double M and back (a different route on the way back), trailer over to High Knob and ride to Dead Horse Canyon or Garden of the Gods, trailer to Trigg Tower Trailhead and ride to Jackson Falls, or trailer to Benham Ridge Trailhead and ride to One Horse Gap, Rocky Top Overlook, and the Promised Land. Guides will trailer you and the equines if needed, saddle the animal you want according to your size and ability, and provide water and horn bags. Lunch is provided on longer rides. Free photos are taken on all rides. Children may sit in front of or behind an adult or ride on their if experienced. All ages from 1-100 are welcome. However, in consideration of the health and safety of our mules and customers, no one over 275 lbs. can ride one of our animals, though they are welcome to bring their own horse or mule. Riders should wear pants and closed-toed shoes. All riders, spectators, and parents must sign a liability release waiver before the ride.
